SÅHEIM STATION

The building and surrounding structure of the Såheim hydroelectric power station was used as an antenna to be able to detect and record the electromagnetic frequencies that are currently being emitted throughout Rjukan.

The data and metadata recorded along with the audio was used to generate text using a neural network trained on the history of Rjukan and solarpunk and sci-fi literature. For this location the network created Pauline Usser, a 'biome-herding' artist and physicist in the year 2800, speaking on resilience and the limitless potential of revolution in reaching towards sustainability.
